About Co-Creative Academy

Director

Co-Creative Academy is founded and directed by Nina Farid, a contemporary artist and trauma-informed creative wellbeing director with a background as a senior corporate professional.

Originally trained in electrical engineering, Nina’s career progressed into senior technical and leadership roles including Electrical Engineer, Radio Frequency Engineer, Solutions Architect, and Senior Manager within one of Australia’s largest retail organisations. Over many years, she became a recognised high performer, working across complex systems, strategy, and leadership.

Alongside this success, a deeper inquiry quietly accompanied her journey. A recurring question beneath productivity and performance. What does it truly mean to be human, and is this all there is?

Driven by curiosity rather than dissatisfaction, Nina began studying science and spirituality in parallel, exploring systems theory, quantum physics, consciousness, and the nature of human experience. This inquiry gradually shifted her focus from optimisation and output toward wholeness, deep awareness, meaning, and presence.

She later trained in the Aletheia Coaching Method, a presence-based approach grounded in the understanding that the human being is already whole and nothing is missing. The work centres on unfolding rather than fixing, allowing awareness and integration to emerge naturally. This philosophy remains foundational to her directorial style and the guiding principles of Co-Creative Academy.

From this place, Nina went on to study art therapy and became a certified trauma-informed art therapist, grounding her work in emotional safety, nervous system awareness, and non-verbal expression. Art became both a practice and a language. A way to access depth beyond words.

Today, Nina is an established visual artist, presenting two exhibitions per year. Her work has been exhibited in Sydney and internationally, including Berlin, Germany. Her paintings explore inner landscapes, emotional states, and subtle layers of human experience through deep, symbolic imagery that invites reflection and presence.

These disciplines. corporate leadership, science, spirituality, trauma-informed practice, and art. converge in the foundation of Co-Creative Academy, reflecting a belief that creativity, when held within a safe and intentional framework, is a powerful way to explore who we are beneath roles, performance, and expectations.

Facilitators

Co-Creative Academy works with a team of carefully selected facilitators who share the Academy’s values and approach.

All facilitators are trained art therapists and trauma-informed practitioners, with experience working with children in creative and wellbeing settings. Each facilitator is guided by the Academy’s philosophy of presence, emotional safety, and process-focused creative expression.

Facilitators are supported and overseen by the Creative Wellbeing Director to ensure consistency, care, and alignment across all programs.
